Busy making Christmas cards

Busy making Christmas cards

We had a great evening at the Cathedral MU evening meeting on 5th Nov… Whilst the weather outside was dark and damp, inside all was bright, shiny, sparkly and busy. Hilary brought a whole mound of card-making materials, such as pens, sticky items, stamps, blank cards, glue, cut-outs, scissors and many, many more items too numerous to mention – you name it and it was there for us to use. The group set up a long table and with help and advice from Hilary we all set to making Christmas cards for our indoor members. We all managed to make a card each and some of us managed to make a couple of cards. We had to write on them saying that they were ‘hand made’ and that love and all best wishes were being sent from the Cathedral Branch of the MU. It was just amazing to see the different styles of cards that were produced, there really were not two cards alike. It was a good evening, a great idea and how lovely it might be for an indoor member to be sent a lovingly-made, bespoke card?

What did you do at your last meeting? Why don’t you email me and let me know. Send a photograph or two, so that I can put it up on your very own MU website. Email me telling me what you did, what branch you belong to, your name and position in the branch and don’t forget to get permission to publish the picture from any of your members who are in a photograph. Better to be safe than sorry!

Email: I look forward to hearing from you… Jx
