Church Mice Kitchen!

Church Mice Kitchen!

At St Michael’s Myland, Colchester Mothers’ Union. among our Christmas activities we held a party for our “Church Mice” on Monday December 16th This group is for children from birth to school age. Most of our children, at the moment, are under three. 41 children and 30 adults (Mums/Dads/Grannies/Carers) attended. We laid out small tables for the children with appropriate food on them and separate tables for adults. It went very well with the highlight being a visit from Santa and his Elf. Every child received a present and no one was scared of Santa. We have been asked to do another party in the summer when the children will be able to play outside, under supervision of course.

As part of our Christmas Celebrations we held a Carol Service on December 4th at which our Deanery Chair, Vivien Chapman, was commissioned by Colchester Area Dean Paul Norrington. We invited all the local branches and families too. 57 people attended and joined us for refreshments afterwards in the Church Hall. This was Bring and Share party food supplied by our members. June Chandler.
