Hinckford Deanery Songs of Praise: Members of the Hinckford Deanery and surrounding area joined together for the annual Songs of Praise Service on Thursday 18th May at St. Barnabas Church, Great Tey. Hymns chosen included, All things bright and beautiful, Thine be the Glory, Dear Lord and Father of mankind, and Be still for the presence of the Lord. Great & Little Tey MU branch were pleased to welcome members from Gosfield, Copford, Earls Colne, Halstead and Myland. The preacher was the Rector of Great & Little Tey; Rev John Richardson.

After the service afternoon tea was served and a bring and buy sale was held. A total of £115.00 from the collection and bring and buy was raised for the Mothers' Union Relief Fund. MU Coffee Morning: All members and friends are very welcome to join Great & Little Tey Mothers' Union for our Coffee Morning on Wednesday 21st June from 10am at Greenlands Farm, Lamberts Lane, Great Tey (actual address is Earls Colne), CO6 2LE by kind invitation of Carol and David Williams. Tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments will be served, and a bring and buy stall and raffle will be held to raise funds for the Mothers’ Union Summer Appeal. Quiet Day at Clare Priory: Great & Little Tey and members of the Hinckford Deanery are sharing a Quiet Day at Clare Priory on Friday 22nd September from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm and other members are very welcome to join us. We take a picnic lunch and the cost of the day is £16.00. Clare Priory is a beautiful place with the retreat house and new church on the premises and lovely gardens - it really is well worth a visit and enjoy a spiritually refreshing quiet day. Last year there were 8 of us who enjoyed this special time of rest and time to reflect and we would be very happy if you would like to join us.
