Let us pray, pray and pray...

Let us pray, pray and pray...

Dear Lord and Father, during these days of anxiety and worry please hold us in your loving arms so that we feel safe and secure. We recognise that we are the very fortunate ones, who may have friends and family around us to attend to our every need. We are also blessed with our wonderful Mothers’ Union family and our church family who are in constant prayer for our comfort. Lord, whilst understanding all this can we highlight all those who are risking their own lives and that of their families in the NHS and Caring community in order to protect ours. Can we offer our thanks for all the essential workers and volunteers’ who are caring for us when we have no one else, and can we implore you to watch over the sick, the vulnerable, those without homes to go to, those who are running very low on food and money, those who are in debt and don’t know which way to turn. Lord we pray for the people in far-away, poor countries who cannot heed the warnings and advice of the rich countries because of their circumstances. Lord, we pray for all those people who are afraid, perhaps terrified for themselves and their families… Give us the strength, to pray, pray and pray. Help us to be kind, thoughtful and generous and with the help of your spirit may we come though these uncertain times with human strength and a tighter bond with you our Father…
