A MU get-together at St Thomas',

Hello to all Chelmsford Mothers’ Union groups, Our Mothers Union group here in St Thomas’ hosted a Cream Tea, for other MU groups, and it was also an invite to come and explore and to enjoy our Flower Festival too.

The event was hosted by St. Thomas, Becontree, Dagenham, and members from St. Chads, Chadwell Heath, and St. Cedd's, Dagenham, came as well.

In our flower festival, we had a display entitled 'Tea with the Queen', and it felt right and was a good opportunity to show off our MU tablecloth which is embroidered with the names of members from across the years.

On a very positive note, we have sat and discussed getting together, again for Christmas, and set dates for our Christmas Carol services, between two branches. Pennie Ley.

Chelmsford Diocesan President, Judith Meaden, commented on your lovely tablecloth saying that she hadn’t seen a cloth like that before and thought it was a great idea.
