On the 9th May the Mothers Union Diocesan Council was held at 7.30pm in the Cathedral Chapter House. Lucy Bubb very kindly sent me some photographs from the meeting and in this first picture the members were discussing ‘How the MU could be more effective.’ As part of this discussion the group considered these questions: Whose lives does MU touch? Who could Mothers’ Union reach out to? What difference could/should MU make? How does MU make a difference? What hinders our work? How could Mothers’ Union be more effective in its calling?
During the meeting a new member was enrolled during Compline which took place at the end of the Mothers’ Union Council meeting.
Also, at the meeting MU Enterprise items were on sale, plus there was a noticeboard on this year’s theme ‘Listen, Observe, Act – in step with God. Molly Hoyle had put it together and it is available for branches and deaneries to use.
Thank you Lucy.
