There is nothing more special than Mothers’ Union members getting into the Christmas Spirit through food, fellowship and fun, for they are constantly aware of the fact, that there are many people in the world who cannot enjoy such luxuries.
When Rev’d Jane Bradbury arrived at our church, declaring she was a Mothers’ Union member, we knew things could only get better and true enough, she encouraged our closed group to open again.
When An alarm clock goes off we have to get up and prepared for the day, just like Advent is an alarm for us to get prepared for the coming of the Christ Child.
Members of Billericay MU got together for an hour's Prayer Vigil against gender violence and used the Service from the Resources, together with the Prayer for Lighting Candles.
To the wonderful members of the mothers’ union. Thank you so much for your generosity in donating money for new high chairs. It is hugely appreciated. From HMP Chelmsford
St Lucy is often depicted, in art, with two eyeballs on a plate or on a spike which indicates the horrific means of her martyrdom. Lucy is the patron saint of the blind.
All seemed to fall quiet as she listened to a little child sing ‘Away in a manger.’ It was so beautiful and so meaningful that it made the carol and the whole story of the birth of the Christ Child come alive.
Wishing you all a wonderful, happy and joyful Christmas. Enjoy your Christmas tree however it looks because a tree, strong and firm, sure and true, is like the beautiful tree of life…
Two special celebrations coming together helped make 2016 an amazing year for most of our dedicated members as I am sure I can speak for the majority as I say how proud we are to be a part of this amazing Christian community…
