MU Christmastide

MU Christmastide

As the year draws to a close, we have come to the end of another triennium for Mothers’ Union. Following the pandemic crisis in 2020, we began 2021 with renewed energy and enthusiasm to rebuild home and confidence, in what was believed by many, would be a recovering world. Little did we know that the uncertainty of the pandemic would be extended for reasons beyond our control and everything would progress slower than we imagined. In tis season we pray for each other and for understanding across our bewildered communities. Let us treat one another with kindness, compassion and respect. May our trust in God’s plans help us make wise decisions in difficult times.

Christmas feels different again: Last year Christmas felt very different for many people across Britain and Ireland and indeed around the world. This year too will be different. Yet some things remain the same. The deeper meaning of Christmas, remembering that God sent His only son to save us all, remain, and however you are celebrating, all of the staff at Mary Sumner House wish you many blessings over Christmas. We are praying you’re your Christmastide will be wholesome and that you 2022 will radiate with peace, love and the joy that Christ gives to us. Yours in faith, the Team at Mary Sumner House.
