I hope many of you were able to attend your church to celebrate Mothering Sunday on the 27th March. I am sure we were all able to appreciate not having to wear masks so that we could sing some joyous hymns and speak God’s words in the way we have always been able to enjoy. I was delighted to hear from Kemi Ademola MU Leader at Emmanuel Church in Leyton, who emailed me Sunday evening with the wonderful news of the new members who have joined her Mothers’ Union group on that day. Congratulations and welcome to all the new members and a big thank you to Kemi and her team for encouraging and gathering potential members from her church – Thank you Kemi and may the Good Lord provide you and us with many more members – In the photographs you will see, squalling with her little-one is Gisela Hammond, second from the right is Ruth Aryeetey and the third lady from the right is Lauretta Bakare. Joining them in the picture is Omoba Jackie Okarevu (Secretary), Rev Eileen Rose (Curate and Branch member) and Kemi Ademola (Branch Leader). We are grateful to God for growth and look to Him for more.
