MU Newsletter no 2

MU Newsletter no 2

Hello to all our MU members, I expect by now you would have received your quarterly MU Newsletter for April, May and June. Not quite knowing where the new newsletter would take us this time, we very quickly managed to turn our two-page newsletter into a four-page effort.

If you haven’t yet received your newsletter I am sure you will be happy to know that it has been sent to someone at your branch who will hopefully print it out for you. I have used coloured photographs this time and although we don’t expect the people who are printing them out to use their colour-printers the newsletter looks so much brighter and more interesting in colour. This quarter we started off with the wonderful news regarding the petition signed by 4,500 members calling for changes to the statutory Child Maintenance Service so that survivors of domestic abuse are not forced to have anything to do with their former violent partners.

We then have great pleasure in congratulating one of our long-term members Mrs. June Boult and her husband Frank on their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. We couldn’t let the newsletter go by without mentioning Bishop Stephen’s ‘School of Disciples’ roadshow and the jars of pickled onions... so you will find it on page 3.

You will find all the important dates for you to put in your diary and there is a little bit of help for those who will need to consider dieting after eating too many Easter eggs!

If you want to download the newsletter yourself and print it in full colour you will be able to, by clicking on the PDF file I have added below. To find the newsletter once it leaves the front of the website click on ‘Blog’ then using the tags to the right of the page, click on either ‘Local News’ or ‘Posters & Press’ then look for ‘Mothers’ Union Newsletter… No 2.
